About This Course
This course is for busy people that would like to complete a Nationally Recognised Level 2 First Aid course in 1 day of face to face training in class after a simple self study program.
How this works
You will receive your self study manual approx. 4 weeks prior to your practical day. The idea is that you complete the theory yourself and consolidate this with a day of practical application. The practical day is conducted in a casual and relaxed manner...this is first aid, we don't expect you to walk out as a paramedic!

Apply First Aid Management Skills for Burns
Demonstrate the identification and management of bleeding and wounds.
Describe the recognition and management of internal bleeding
Apply First Aid Management for bone and joint injuries
Manage Emergency Situations
Apply First Aid Management skills for bites, stings and poisoning.
Manage acute illnesses
Describe the recognition and management of facial injury
Manage Hyperthermia & Hypothermia.
Describe the basic structure and function of the human body.
Apply First Aid Management skills for chest, abdominal, pelvic and head injuries
The Practical workshop includes:
Review of answers to workbook.
Discussion to develop further understanding of relevant first aid knowledge areas.
Demonstration and practice of DRABCD & managing an unconscious person
Demonstration and practice of CPR skills
Demonstration and practice of relevant first aid skills
Management of first aid emergencies through performance in a variety of realistic first aid scenarios relevant to participants’ workplace situations
Assessment of course competencies

Course Outcomes
At the end of this course you will have your National Accreditation in Apply First Aid, Valid for 3 years. At the end of the course students will have the ability and confidence to provide First Aid.

Prerequisites
Each Student Must complete the workbook theory before attending the Workshop

At DIVE INN First Aid we provide you with a unique and easy way of learning first aid, All courses that are run through us can be delivered by self pace learning.
Workbook Training
This course requires you to go through the theoretical components in your own time. For business this means that you can reduce the time it takes for you and your staff to complete Senior First Aid.
The benefits of the workbook are that you can complete the practical / assessment hours at your work site or one of our training seasons.

Other Information
Facilities & Equipment:
Each participant will be provided with intellectual materials required to do the workshop.
Each program will also be supported with adequate Teaching Aids to assist with the theory and practical training modules such as CPR manikins, AEDS. Bandages, Visual Aids, Handouts etc as appropriate.

Onsite Training:

We provide training at your worksite, home enviroment or in our comfortable classroom.
We are your mobile Response Unit, we will train and assess you or your staff were they are. We bring all teaching aids and manikins to you. We aim to save you money and time by reducing your costs by providing our onsite delivery method.
